When Emma and Kris booked me to be their wedding photographer at Backwell House I was delighted to be going back to this handsome country house hotel in North Somerset on the outskirts of Bristol. Having worked there earlier in the summer I knew that the hotel and grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography.
Emma planned to get ready at Backwell House, having stayed at the hotel the night before, followed by a wedding at the nearby Flax Bourton Church and a reception at Flax Bourton Village Hub.
This was a traditional wedding complete with a classic, chauffeur-driven, Rolls Royce rolling up the gravel drive of Backwell House to take the bride and her father to the Church of St Michael and All Angels.
The day was full of love and laughter, hilarious speeches and just about everything else, including the weather which gave us rain and sunshine in equal measure.
The images below are a small selection of wedding photography from the day.
